2011.. My Goals and Ambitions

2011.. I don’t really know what to say, I can’t believe 2010 has passed so quickly. This year I am going to be 14 years old, I know to most 14 is young and I have nothing to worry about. But in so many ways that is wrong, on the 2nd of May 2011 I will have lived 14 sometimes long, sometimes short years. But for every year you live there is a sacrifice…. Death moves slowly but surely closer. I know that is a sad way to look at life but life means different things to different people… Life is never promised, you should never expect tomorrow is going to come because no one can promise that it will… You have to live each day like it is your last and truly appreciate what you have, because I can promise you this one day it will be gone and there will be noway to get it back..
2011 is going to be a huge year for me, for reasons at which at this very moment I am not sure of yet. My life, my image, my family, are all changing in ways that I can’t believe.. I am moving schools this year and I have no idea what to expect. Confusion is filling my mind and there are only 3 things at the moment that I am sure of, My goals and aspirations for 2011 (:
- Prepare myself for the year and know I have all the things I need for a year to never forget (:
- Find a group of people that I can rely on and trust
- Fit in (:

Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas season is my favourite time of year, sorrounded by my family seated infront of a gaint table holding of some of the best tasting food you could ever dream of. Giving gifts and recieving presents, seeing the joy on the faces of the young and the old as they open their presents and find what they had been asking for.
I love driving down the streets of Tassie and seeing all the houses covered in christmas lights with bright tinsel covered tree’s plastering the windows and the crowds of smiling faces standing outside watching all the flickering lights.
I love putting up the tree with my family, it to me is a highlight of the entire christmas season. Peicing together the tree and covering it in lights, balls, tinsel and the star at the tipy top. Laughing, chatting, arguing and smiling as we finsh what only happens once a year; putting up the christmas tree.

Ict For 3rd Term…

In our eyes

As an individuals we see our surroundings in different ways, from the eyes the homeless the world is a hard and unforgiving place that they are forced to call home. To the eyes of rich and famous the world is at their feet, everything is in reach and nothing can get in their way to acquire what they want.
Here I sit surrounded by my family and I wonder how a world, in my eyes perfect can be so cruel and cold to others, I sit here with everything I have ever wanted the world to have given me. And yet others sit with not one item attached to their name. In this post I want to tell you a story, a story which millions of different people think of as their lives. I want to tell you the story of the people the world has forgotten and left behind.

925 million people on this earth are unable receive clean safe drinkable water, clothes, education, suitable amounts of food, nutrition and shelter. They have to find happiness and other important necessities from tips, which they scourge through each day to find items which my help them live 1 more day.
HoMeLeSsNeSs
To be homeless is to have no place to call home, to have no money, sometimes no family, to have no food, no bed, no warmth. At an estimate of over 200 million people classified as homeless, the number is only expected to grow.
CoNfLiCt
It is a sad truth that humanity has had many wars, fights, disagreements, what ever your want to call them, through out history. WW1 and WW2 are the most famous battles in our modern history. WW1 alone caused an estimated death of 65,000,000 and WW2 by itself increased the number to an estimated 72,000,000 dead. There have been many battles through out history which has taken a large tole on the worlds population. The Mongol Conquest took the lives of a massive 60,000,000 people. Followed only then by the An Shi Rebellion which is believed to have taken the lives of around 36,000,000 people.

The world is full of problems some big and some small. But it is up to you to make your world a better place, for you. So put a smile on your face, have some fun and show the world how lucky it is to you in it (:

Water Is Never always there (Blog Action Day 2010)

A human being can live without water for 3-5 days before dying of dehydration. Water conservation is important and yet it seems to be forgotten by most people.
71% of the worlds surface is water and right about know you would be thinking god we’ve got all of this water, why should we even bother with this water conservation thing… Only 3% of world’s water supply is drinkable and with 6,697,254,041 people currently living in the world, to me 3% doesn’t sound like that much to share around everyone. The average person drinks 2 litres of fresh clear water per day which would add up to about 13,394,508,082litres of water drank by the world per day, not including showers, gardening, ect.
But with such a small amount of clear, fresh, clean water on our world to drink and clean with, there must be some people that get the short straw and have to use dirty, unhygienic, unsafe drinking water. These people are the people from third world countries, and they deserve clean, clear water just as much if not in some cases more then you or I. Every week 42,000 people die from drinking unsafe water and if people keep using water so generously this number will only get bigger and bigger and bigger..
You can help change this, help save lives, help save our water. By using a little less water each day you are making a difference. It as simple as making sure the tap is turned completely off, you don’t leave the water running while you brush your teeth, you have 2 minute showers instead of 10 minute ones. These simple, small things make all the difference.
So are you going to try and make a difference, try to help thousands of the people around you?? Think about it..

These are the top 5 things I dream of being/doing when I grow up:
1. Become the head of the Human Resources at a large company.
2. Tavel around the world (Italy, France, Spain, Usa, Greece, Germany and maybe Mexico)
3. Design and Build My Dream Home.
4. Get a University Degree in business and management =)
5. Have a family

Skulduggery Pleasant: Dark Days By Derek Landy is flawless. In this book he really shows how skilled he is at planing out the story he wants to tell the reader. This book makes you think, it makes you question your judgment of the characters, if asks you questions that you crave to answer, it makes you wish that it would never end. It brings the smaller characters into the limelight. The story line is gripping and perfectly structored, it is the perfect mix of action, suspense, magic, crime, fantasy, mystery and of caurse a bit of comedy. This series is amazing, addicting, flawless, magical, it is easialy the best series I have ever read in my life I love them all!!!

Friendship =)

In Skills For Life at school we have been learning about friendship and respect. For the last 3 weeks we have been watching Cars to see how Lightning McQueen develops as a friend. At the start he is selfish and has no friends, he looks at him self as more superior and important then the rest of the people (cars) around him because of his natural manufactured (born) talent. After getting arrested at Radiator Springs he soon realised the being popular and famous does guarantee you true and loving friends. After seeing how the people (cars) treat each other in comparison to how his friends treated him back at the race track he finally opens his eyes and sees that his attitude is holding him back in many ways. Mater is the first to see the good side of Lighting and soon makes him his best friend. Sally comes next, inviting Lightning to stay in a Cozy Cone and asking him to go on a drive with her. Lightning finally sees what a real friend is:
- A real friend trusts you completely
- they never question your judgement unless they now that you have made a dangerous and/or wrong choice
- they know how to make you laugh and put a smile on your face
- they care about you
- they know if you are sad or angry
- they are always there for you
Lightning ended up helping everyone in Radiator Springs including Doc:
Sally – He helped Sally by relighting the town, making everyone happy.
Luigi- He brought a new set of white wall tyres and sent in 3 farraris to buy tyres
Remone - He got a new paint job (painted by Remone)
Doc - He brought him back to racing
Fillmore - brought some organic fuel
Sarge- brought some government surplus
Mater- became his new best friend and got him a ride in a helicopter
Red - Helps him re-plant his flowers and is nice to him
The King - pushes him over the line
Lizzie - buys some stickers from her store and goes for a drive with her
Guido - Buys tyres and lets him do his tyres in the big race
Sheriff - Lightning is like a son to the Sheriff as you may have been able to clearly see when he cried at the thought lightning going.
Mack - Lightning becomes good friends with Mack
Flo - Lightning helped everyone in the town and by doing that he helped her business and her as a person (Car)
A friend is someone that you rely-on and trust. Being a good friend means listening and helping those friends whom may not even deserve you kindness and compassion. Friends come and go as your live moves on; only some few lucky people find friends who last a life time. If a day comes when you are faced with a hard decision your friends are the people who help you find the right answer. A Friend is a person who is always going to be there.
Being a good friend is about being nice to the people around you and not taking them for granted, because one day you might have a problem and your friends are the only people that can help you. Never take your best friend for granted because I can guaranty you will regret it.

Skulduggery Pleasant: The Faceless Ones By Derek Landy, is an amazingly well thought out novel. Which can bring tiny little things in the background of the first book to the for ground in the forth.
Every time I start a new book I try to predict what is going to happen, and every time I have tried to do this with Skulduggery, I have been wrong. Derek has taken his characters on a ride that most people couldn’t dream of let alone publish a book about.. This series is the best action series I have every had the pleasure to read. I can’t wait to start the next book and I know that every page I read will be bring me a new question that I can’t help but crave to answer..
I hope that you try reading this series, because I know that you won’t be disappointed… I have become willfully addicted to the Skulduggery Pleasant series.

Tali- Natalia’s blog is really informative, it tells it’s reader alot about her. She has lots of pets to feed and a flag counter that needs filling, so go have a look… =)

Skulduggery Pleasant: Playing with Fire By Derek Landy is an amazing novel which Derek should be extreamly proud of. After reading this novel you will be truely addicted to the Skulduggery Plesant saga and I promise you that every page will ask you a question that you can’t help but crave to answer…
After reading the first book in the series I personally thought that Derek could not come up with a storyline more dramatic, magical or action filled then the one that was contained by the covers of the first book, but I am very happy to say that I was wrong..
Skulldugery Pleasant: Playing with fire, is scary, dramatic, suspencful, gripping, magical, addicting, mysterious and of course humourous.. With bad guys that make you feel truely scaried, good guys that make you feel happy and protected, and suprises that you never thought could happen in a million years… I truley love this series and I can’t wait to start the next book, I hope that my reveiw has urged you to read the Skulduggery Pleasant series, I know you won’t be disapointed..

Skulduggery Pleasant

Skulduggery Pleasant By Derek Landy, is a amazingly gripping novel filled with action, horror, suspense and of coarse mystery. Once you start reading Skulduggery Pleasant a its very hard to stop.
By the end of the first paper your uncle dyes, by the start of chapter 5 you are partners with a dead detective (Skulduggery Pleasant) and have been near killed at least twice. When you think its all smooth sailing from here you get hit by a car. I have never read a book that I couldn’t presume to an extent what was going to happen next but Skulduggery Pleasant always kept me guessing.
If you like reading about action, crime, horror and magic then I strongly urge that you read Skulduggery Pleasant, I know you won’t be disappointed..
